Steve Curley recently represented the Blue-Light Training Providers Association (BLTPA) at a meeting with the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) in London to discuss adding private ERDT providers to the NFCC-approved training register.
“The meeting was extremely positive”, said Steve. “The NFCC outlined their work to set the standards required to qualify as a training provider and gave a clear understanding of the requirements of the trainer portfolio. We discussed the prospect of trainers being supported with CPD opportunities and how trainers could maintain competency.”
Steve will be building on this initial meeting to promote all BLTPA member’s interests in the delivery of response driver training to the UK Fire and Rescue Services.
